Men's Track and Field in 2nd after Day 1 at CSAC Championship

The Men's Track and Field team is in 2nd place after day 1 at the CSAC Championships. The Pioneers have 26 total points and are behind Penn. St. Behrend.

Nick Florczak won the 100m sprint event over Eric Gregory from Gallaudet by 1-tenth of a second at 11.09. Florczak competed in the 200 and came in second to Gregory with a time of 22.56. 

Eddie Scroxton finished the 1500m in 4:16.41, good enough for 6th place. Andrew Hvisdak finished 5 seconds behind him and finished in 7th place. Maxwell Chiarella and Jacob Rightmyer also finished in the top 10. 

Aden Alexander competed in the triple jump and finished in 4th place with a best jump of 12.09m. His jump was only 1 meter behind the top competitor. 

Dylan Perlino won the discus throw with a top throw of 51.53m. Perlino only won by 1m, beating out Penn.- St. Behrend's Dan Dabrowski.

Derek Walter competed in the javelin throw and placed 4th with a top throw of 38.21m.

The Pioneers complete the championships and will look to gain ground on PSB and hold their second place team position.
