2021 Honorees into the Chi Alpha Sigma Honor Society

Alfred State Announces 2021 Class of Chi Alpha Sigma

The Alfred State athletic department honored 32 student-athletes for their academic achievements by inducting them into the Chi Alpha Sigma honor society. Chi Alpha Sigma was established in 1996 as a student-athlete honor society for the recognition of high academic achievers and sport letter winners at the collegiate level. 21 of these student athletes were first year honorees while 11 were second year honorees.

To be recognized a student-athlete must be in at least their 5th full-time semester and have a minimum of a 3.40 GPA. This is the third year the Alfred State chapter has inducted Pioneer student-athletes. 

The following 21 first year honorees received a certificate to mark the induction:

  • Cameron Howard: Track & Field
  • Caitlin Jarosinski: Soccer
  • Stone Lisek: Soccer
  • Krista Lovell: Softball
  • Cade Marks: Football
  • Maggie Meyer: Soccer
  • Riley Mucher: Soccer
  • Katherine O'Buckley: Track & Field
  • Westin Perry: Swimming
  • Isabelle Popoff: Track & Field
  • Josh Reding: Basketball
  • Corey Seymour: Track & Field
  • Hannah Shadduck: Soccer
  • Lindsey Simons: Soccer
  • Andrew Treviso: Baseball
  • Kathryn Watkins: Cross Country and Track & Field
  • Stuart Yates: Swimming
  • Annaliese Ziemann: Soccer

11 second year honorees, who were officially inducted into Chi Alpha Sigma last year, will received a certificate if they were not graduating or honor cords to be worn at graduation.
