Sarah Stevens and Nick Beach Honored by AMCC

Alfred State freshmen divers Sarah Stevens (Wellsville) and Nick Beach (Canandaigua) have earned the AMCC Diver of the Week honors after solid performances at the conference championships this weekend.

Stevens shared AMCC Championship Diver of the Meet honors with her twin Rebecca. Stevens won the 1m with a score of 188.35 after a score of 315.70 in the prelims. She was also 2nd in the 3 m competition with a score of 189.5 after scoring a 293.5 in the prelims.

Beach was named the AMCC Championship Diver of the Meet after winning both the 1 m and 3 m competitions. He won the 3m with a finals score of 211.05 after posting a 366.5 in in the prelims. He won the 1m with a finals score of 265.15 after he scored 405.30 in the prelims. This is the 3rd time this season he has won the AMCC weekly award.

Stevens and Beach were key to the Pioneers success at the AMCC Championships. Stevens and the women's team finished 3rd while Beach and the men's team finished 2nd.
