Taggart in 2nd at Regionals After Day 1

The Pioneers traveled to the AARTFC Event at Susquehanna today, for the first day of the regional.

After four events of the Women's Heptathlon, Emma Taggart sits in second place with 2609 points. Taggart competed in 4 events today, the first of which was the 100m hurdles. Taggart placed 4th in the event with a time of 15.61 seconds. Her best event of the day was the shot put, where she placed 2nd with a distance of 10.50m. In the high jump, Taggart was 5th again with a best attempt of 1.49m. In the 200m sprint, Taggart was 10th with a time of 27.46 seconds. 

The Pioneers 4x100 team finished 23rd in the race with a time of 50.86 seconds. Lawery Edwards, Sarah Rivet, Madeline Cole and Madison Snayczuk made up the Pioneer team that landed itself on #3 all-time in the Pioneer record book. 

The Pioneers continue competition at Susquehanna tomorrow, in the final day of the AARTFC event.
