Barinas Named AMCC Player of the Week
Elijah Barinas (Bronx, NY/St. Raymond) has been named the AMCC Player of the Week.
Barinas was a dominant force in the Pioneers' double AMCC sweep last week to extend their win streak to 10 and remain undefeated in conference play.
In four games, Barinas went 9-for-10 at the plate, recorded a .900 batting average, 1.400 slugging percentage, seven RBIs, five runs, two triples, one double and stole five bases.
In their sweep over Medaille, he went a perfect 6-for-6 at the plate.
In their 11-5 win in game one he had two RBIs and scored one run.
In game two, they won 12-2 and he contributed three RBIs, one run and one triple.
Against Penn St.-Altoona, Barinas was a combined 3-for-4 at the plate.
In their 4-0 shutout in game one, he had one run and one triple.
In their 13-3 win in game two he was 1-for-1 at the plate and recorded two RBIs and two runs.
