Balanced Scoring Leads Hawks over Pioneers

Hilbert had three players finish in double figures as they defeated Alfred State 77-59 on Wednesday. The Hawks improve to 11-2 on the year.

Hilbert jumped out to a 7-0 lead early on and never looked back. The Pioneers trailed by only five at half, 34-29, but could never get any closer in the 2nd half.

Jerame Owens led all scorers with 19 points and eight rebounds. Jordan Kumro hit five 3-pointers in the 1st half and finished with 17 points. Trevor Stark chipped in 10 points.

Justin Wallace (Mt. St. Michael) and Adam Fezza (Southhampton) each had nine points to lead the Pioneers. Tyler Elliott (Perry) finished with six points and 12 rebounds.

The blue & gold return to action on Saturday when they travel to SUNY ESF for a 1 p.m. contest.
