Hutson Hits 1,000 Point Milestone

Tommy Hutson (Brooklyn/Susan McKinney) scored 12 points and eclipsed 1,000 for his career in Alfred State's 91-58 loss to St. Mary's (MD) College. Hutson is the first Pioneer to reach the 1,000 point milestone in Coach Jerry Jusianiec's tenure at Alfred State (15 years).

Hutson led the Pioneers with 12 points and completed a three-point play with just over three minutes remaining to hit the 1,000 point mark. He now has 1,002 points heading into the final game of his career on Sunday.

Jabar Williams (Brooklyn/Abraham Lincoln) came off the bench and had nine points, Robbie Adams (Jasper Troupsburg) finished with 8 points while Justin Wallace (Mount St. Michael) and Adam Fezza (Southhampton) each chipped in seven.

Nick LaGuerre led the Seahawks, who won their ninth straight game and improve to 17-4 on the season, with 17 points. Delaszo Smith scored 12 and Trey Hawkins netted 10 off the bench. The Seahawks had thirteen different players score in the contest.

St. Mary's shot 49.3% from the floor, held a 41 to 36 advantage on the boards, and forced the Pioneers into 26 turnovers.

Alfred State wraps up the 2014-15 season on Sunday when they host SUNY Canton at 2 p.m.
