Pioneers Notched Multiple Top-10 Finishes

Selinsgrove, PA- The Alfred State men's indoor track and field team competed at the River Hawk Invite.

Mekhi Christensen started the day with a second-place finish in the 60-meter dash with a time of 7.16. Then in the 200-meter dash, Christensen finished 17th with a time of 25.30, right behind his teammate Patrick Puffer who finished in 25.28 for 16th place.  

In the 400 meter, Kyle Brown finished in 57.75 for ninth place, while Connor Schreiber finished 57.87 for 10th place. In the 800-meter run, Mamadou Barry finished second with a time of 2:05.91, Brian Clark came in 11th with a time of 2:14.85.

Maxwell Chiarella (5:24.36) and Aiden Bonomo (5:59.80) finished in 10th and 11th respectively in the one mile.

The team of Clark, Barry, Chiarella, and Andrew Zielinski came in fifth place in the 4x400 with a time of 3:46.09.

In the field events, Aden Alexander jumped 6.17 in the long jump for fourth place, while Isaac Rivet (5.96) came in sixth, and Puffer (5.95) came in seventh. Alexander came in first in the triple jump with a distance of 13.04 meters, followed by Rivet in third with a distance of 12.04 meters.

In the throwing events, Greg Raymond, Kyle Kapichok, Brandon Russell finished 10th, 11th, and 12th respectively in the shotput. Raymond followed with a 14.74-meter throw in the weight throw for second place. Tyler Lantrip came in sixth with a throw of 12.45 meters. Also in that event, Jairo Agosto (10.87m), Russell (10.77m), and Kapichok (10.35m) came in 10th, 11th, and 12th respectively.
