Pioneers Placed Sixth At Brockport Invite

Brockport, NY- Alfred State men's Track and Field had 10 top-10 place finishes in the Brockport Multi Invite. The team finished in sixth place with a score of 68.5.

Mekhi Christensen moved into sixth all time in the 60-meter dash with a time of 7.12. Patrick Puffer followed with a fifth-place finish with a time of 7.59.

In the 600-meter run, Eddie Scroxton edged out Mamadou Barry, with a time of 1.25.88 while Barry finished in 1.26.19. Scroxton moved into sixth all time with that time and Barry put himself into eighth all time. Brian Clark also finished 10th in that event with a time of 1:28.79.

Andrew Zielinski notched an 11th place finish in the 1000 meter run as he crossed the line in 2:52.17, Maxwell Chiarella followed with a time of 3:00.74 for 13th place.

The team of Chimaij Okafor, Clark, Scroxton, and Barry finished fourth in the 4x400 relay, while the team of Chiarella, Clark, Barry, and Zielinski came in third in the Distance Medley.

Aden Alexander won the triple jump for the second week in a row after jumping 12.79 meters. He followed with a fifth-place finish in the long jump, with a distance of 6.35 meters. Puffer came in 10th in the long jump with a distance of 6.11 meters.

In the weight throw, Greg Raymond threw 15.78 meters for a third-place finish.
