Pioneers Had A Strong Outing At Utica Invite

Utica, NY- The Alfred State men's track and field team finished in 11th place at the Utica Blue & Orange Invite and Multi.

In the 60-meter dash, Mekhi Christensen ran a 7.19 for fifth place. In the open part of the event, Patrick Puffer ran a 7.66 for nineth place.

In the 400-meter dash, Brian Clark ran a 54.87 for 22nd place, while Andrew Zielinski ran a 4:54.27 mile and finished in 24th place. Zielinski would also tally a 16th place finish in the 3000 meter with a time of 10:14.07. Maxwell Chiarella was right behind him with a time of 10:54.15 for 17th place.

Mamadou Barry tallied a ninth-place finish in the 800-meter run with a time of 2:05.52.

The team of Nicholas Florczak, Chimaij Okafor, Puffer, and Christensen came in fourth place in the 4x200 meter relay.

Aden Alexander came away with two fourth place finishes in the long jump (6.19) and triple jump (12.57). Puffer came away with fifth place in the long jump with a distance of 6.18. Conner Schreiber notched a seven-place finish in the high jump.

In the weight throw, Jairo Agosto came in 12th place with a throw of 11.67 meters, followed by Brandon Russell in 13th place with throw of 11.65 meters.
