Pioneers Tallied Three AMCC Player Of The Week Honorees
Alfred, NY- Alfred State had three Pioneers garner Athlete Of The Week honors this week as announced by the conference office on Monday.
Alfred State SO Aden Alexander won the triple jump for the second week in a row after jumping 12.79 meters. He followed with a fifth-place finish in the long jump, with a distance of 6.35 meters.
Alfred State JR Sean Malenfant went 3-0 on the day at the John Summa Invite on Sunday. His day started with a 52 second fall over Omari Watson (Wikes). Then in the semifinals, he tallied another first round fall, this time in 1:41 over Ryan Weitz (Baldwin Wallace). In the finals, Malenfant notched a 6-3 decision win over Hunter Lowe (Wilkes) to claim the title.
Alfred State FR Oli Kraynik finished the 600m dash in a time of 1:42.56 for third place, Kraynik moved into second all-time in Alfred State history with that finish.
