Pioneers Notched 17 Top-10 Finishes

Selinsgrove, PA- Alfred State men's track and field tallied 17 top-10 finishes at the Jim Taylor Invite.

Nicholas Florczak came in ninth in the 100-meter dash after running an 11.51. Then in the 400-meter dash, Brian Clark ran a 53.23 to take sixth place. Carter Riley came in fourth in the 10000-meter run, with a time of 41:16.38. Then in the 3000 meter steeplechase, Maxwell Chiarella and Aiden Bonomo came in eighth and ninth respectively.

Looking at the field events, JT Mariotti came in third in the pole vault after jumping 3.90 meters. Dylan Cannon would jump 3.00 meters to take 10th.  In the long jump, Aden Alexander jumped 6.07 meters to take ninth place.

In the throwing events, Jairo Agosto notched a sixth-place finish in shot put with a throw of 12.09 meters. Then in discus, Branden Russell threw 39.94 meters for sixth, and Kyle Kapichok threw 39.42 meters for seventh place. The Pioneers had four in the top-10 of the hammer throw, Tyler Lantrip came in third, followed by Greg Raymond in fourth, Agosto in eighth, and Russell in 10th. Then in the Javelin throw, Kapichok came in seventh with a throw of 41.83 meter, followed by Davyn Gulbrandsen in eighth with a throw of 38.70 meters.
