Swimmers Compete at North Country Invitational

The Alfred State swimming team finished 6th at the North Country Invitational hosted by SUNY Potsdam this weekend. The men scored 141 points while the women scored nine.

Bryce Cutler (Newton, NJ) led the Pioneers with a pair of top five finishes. He finished 3rd in the 400 IM (4:41.89) and 5th in the 200 back (2:10.79). He also added a 10th place finish in the 200 free (2:00.31).

Tim Berry (Midlakes) was 4th in 3 meter diving (120.60) and 5th in the 1 meter diving (138.80) competition. John Paul Holubek (Wayland Cohocton) was 8th in the 1650 free (20:02.87), 8th in the 200 breast (2:35.73), and 10th in the 100 breast (1:10.07). Tim Seitzinger (Bel Air, MD) was 9th in the 200 fly (2:29.93).

All four Pioneer relay teams finished 6th: 400 free (3:45.18), 200 medley (1:54.48), 400 medley (4:07.43), and 200 free (1:42.63).

Eryn Cochran (Alfred) scored points on the women's side with a 8th place finish in the 200 breast (2:47.63) and a 9th place finish in the 100 breast (1:19.30).

The Pioneers dive back into action on December 6th when they travel to Cobleskill to compete with the Tigers, Galludet, and Wells.
