Thiel Honored by USCAA

Alfred State freshman cross country runner Lindsey Thiel (Liverpool) has been named the USCAA runner of the week after a strong finish in her first collegiate race.

Thiel finished 2nd at the annual Alfred St. Inviational held last Saturday. Thiel finished the 4k course in 17:38.0.  Thiel helped the Lady Pioneers to a 2nd place overall finish in the competition.

Thiel and the rest of the Pioneers head to Brockport this weekend to compete in the Golden Eagle Inviational. Action is slated to begin at 10 a.m.

Thiel joins football player Rasheed Williams and soccer player Kali Muhleisen as Alfred State athletes honored by the USCAA this week.
