Wildcats Trip up Pioneers

SUNY IT used a 10-2 run in the 1st half and a 24-9 run in the 2nd to break open a close contest en route to a 83-59 victory over Alfred State in the 1st round of the Sarah Lawrence Tournament in Bronxville, NY.

The Wildcats broke a 16-16 with a 10-2 run to take the lead for good.  Leading 31-21 at the break, SUNY IT came out of the break and went on a 24-9 run to put the game away.

Ryan James led SUNY IT with 20 points while Maverick Hodge finished with 14.  Sallo Fofana came off the bench and chipped in 13.  The Wildcats shot 47.6% from the field on the night.

Tavon Moore (Syracuse/Bishop Grimes) led the Pioneers with 15 points off the bench.  Adam Fezza (Southhampton) and Tommy Hutson (Brooklyn/Susan McKinney) each finished with 10.  The Pioneers were slowed down by 23 turnovers.
