Lacrosse Announces 2016 Schedule
The Alfred State lacrosse team under new head coach Jonathan Hoover begins practice next week as they prepare for the 2016 season. The Pioneers schedule features contests in New York, North Carolina, and Pennsylvania.
The Pioneers open up their season on February 27th when they host Keuka. The contest begins a four-game homestand prior to the team's spring break trip. During spring break, the blue & gold will head to North Carolina for contests vs. Methodist and Greensboro.
After spring break the Pioneers are on the road for five of their next seven games competing vs. Empire 8, NEAC, and SUNYAC foes. On April 23-24, the Pioneers will travel to SUNY Canton to compete in the inaugural USCAA Classic with scheduled games vs. the University of Dallas and SUNY Delhi.
The season close out the season with in late March with a road contest at Medaille.
Coach Hoover and the Pioneers will look to add to the win total from 2015 and establish a new NCAA era record for victories at Alfred State.
