Lax Tripped up by Elmira

The Alfred State lacrosse team was tripped up 15-4 at Elmira on Saturday afternoon. The Soaring Eagles are now 4-3 on the season.

Elmira jumped out to a 5-0 lead in the first 22 minutes of the game and did not allow the Pioneers to climb back in the game. Skyler Pradelski (5 goals), Nevin Olney (3 goals), and TJ Leach (3 goals) combined to score 11 of the Eagles 15 goals.

Aaron Buck (Churchville Chili) led the Pioneers with a goal and two assists while Joe Johnson (Churchville Chili) netted two goals. Ryan Colgan (Warwick Valley) scored once and Nicolas Covelli (Carmel) had an assist. Three of the Pioneers goals came with the extra man, Alfred State finished 3 for 5 on the day.

The blue & gold have a week off before hosting Franciscan next Saturday. The final home game of the year is scheduled for a 2 p.m. opening face-off.
