Cross Country Participates in Cancer Relay Run

The Alfred State cross country team kicked off their 2015 season by participating in the program's biennial cancer run. The team spent their first two days of practice running from Lockport back to Alfred.

Members of the team raised funds during the summer by asking for pledges for the run. $1,500 was raised and will be donated to the American Cancer Society.

During the run at least a pair of runners were on the course as they ran on roads, on riverbanks, through tunnels, and over bridges. The team started the run on Wednesday morning, spent the night at various houses in the Rochester area, and then completed the run back to Alfred on Thursday.
