McKinney Signs with Dakota State

Davin McKinney (Syracuse/Nottingham) has signed a letter of intent to continue his academic and athletic career at Dakota State University.  McKinney, who has used one year of eligibility, will compete for the starting center spot for the Trojans.

McKinney was a key component in the offensive line for the 5-4 Pioneers in 2012.  The offense averaged 250.2 yards per game and scored 196 points.

Dakota State coached by Josh Anderson (5th year) plays in the Association of Independent Institutions in the NAIA.  The Trojan squad finished 2-9 in 2012 and will open up the 2013 schedule at Peru State.

McKinney is a member of the Pioneers lacrosse team this spring after playing for the NJCAA National Champion Onondaga CC in 2012.

McKinney will have three years of football eligibility remaining at Dakota State.

He is the third Pioneer to sign with a four-year school this offseason (Robert Howard - Rhode Island and Collin Frazier - Norfolk State).
