Alfred, NY – The Pioneers secure first conference win of the year against Pitt. Bradford 4-3, behind a three goal second half. Garrett Potts notched a haul as he scored four Pioneer goals. The Pioneers move to 8-2 on the season.
Brayden Fox tallied played all 90 minutes in goal and tallied two saves.
The Pioneers found themselves in a two-goal deficit early in the game before Potts cut the lead to one with a goal. The Panthers scored another goal a few minutes later and Pott answered with his second goal of the game.
Alfred came out of the half trailing 3-2, before Potts notched his third goal to make it a hat-trick and tie the game at 3-3.
A few minutes later in the 73rd minute, Pott gave the Pioneers their first lead of the game with his fourth goal. Later in the 85th minute, Riley Warren Nichols netted a goal to put the nail in the coffin to secure the win.
The Pioneers will be back home this weekend on Saturday Sept. 30 for a game against Penn State Altoona at 4:15 pm.
