Emma Taggart (New Windsor, MD), Riley Mucher (Warsaw), Isabelle Popoff (Cicero North Syracuse), AJ Gartland (Irondequoit), and Stuart Yates (Naples) were recently named the 2021 Alfred State Academic Award winners. The quintet was honored at a ceremony held in the Cappadonia Auditorium.

85 Student-Athletes Named to Academic All-Conference Team

85 Alfred State student-athletes have been named to the AMCC Academic All-Conference team. 34.84% of the athletes that participate in AMCC sports at Alfred State were honored.

Alfred State to Allow Fans at Outdoor Events Starting April 2nd

Alfred State will begin allowing a limited amount of fans to attend home athletic events starting on Friday, April 2nd. The athletic department will follow the guidelines announced by Governor Cuomo yesterday.

The process of the moving to Division III of the NCAA was the beginning of a new era for Pioneer student-athletes. The process also included a five year window in which Alfred State could not participate in postseason competition. During that time period the college joined the United State Collegiate Athletic Association (USCAA). This membership allowed for postseason play and recognition for our athletes during this transition period. The partnership with the USCAA provided numerous memorable championship opportunities in Charleston, WV, Asheville, NC or Virginia Beach, VA.
