Swimming & Diving Opens up Season at Niagara University

The Alfred State swimming & diving team opened up their season on Saturday vs. NCAA DI opponent Niagara University. The Purple Eagles downed the Pioneers 186-17.

Mikaela Snayczuk (Machias/Pioneer) was 2nd in the 50 breast (32.74), 3rd in the 100 breast (1:12.76), 3rd in the 50 fly (31.03).

Lily Holmes (Liverpool) was 3rd in the 50 free (35.27) and 4th in the 100 free (1:23.20).

Molly Foxe (Cheektowaga) was 4th in the 1 meter diving competition with a score of 128.55.

The Pioneers host Roberts Wesleyan next Saturday for a 1 p.m. meet.
