Goodwin Honored by USCAA
Alfred State junior kicker Zack Goodwin (Pougkeepsie) has been named the USCAA Special Teams player of the week.
Goodwin was 2-3 in field goal attempts connecting on a 24-yard and a 35-yard field goal in the Pioneers game vs. the University of Rochester. The field goals were the first for the Pioneers since October of the 2014 season.
He also was 3 for 3 in PAT attempts. In the kickoff game, Goodwin had three touchbacks and held U of R to a average of eight yards on three attempts.
Raul Alvarez (Iowa Wesleyan) was named the offensive player of the week while Gino DiCamillo was the defensive player of the week.
