Football Sweeps USCAA and #PioneerPinpoint Awards

Fresh off of their 21-7 victory at Maranatha Baptist, the Alfred State football team has swept weekly USCAA and #PioneerPinpoint honors.

Brandon Davis (Lansing) earned the USCAA Defensive Player of the Week honor. The linebacker had 11 assisted tackles and an additional two solo tackles for the Pioneers of Alfred State. Davis' defense helped keep Maranatha Baptist's offense to just seven points for the game.  

Mar-Keise Jones (Yonkers/Saunders) earned the Offensive Player of the Week honors. The freshmen recorded his first 100-yard game against Maranatha Baptist. Jones had 24 rushes to break the 100 yard mark, with his longest run of the day being 15 yards.

Josh Ashley (Brooklyn/Grand Street Campus) earned the Special Teams Player of the Week honors. On kick return duty, Ashley returned the opening kickoff 58 yards, setting up his team for the opening score of the game. On the offensive side of the ball, the junior has two touchdowns and over 100 yards of receiving.
