Four 2nd Half Goals Lead Pioneers past Penn State Beaver

The Alfred State men's soccer team scored four 2nd half goals including two in a span of 30 seconds as the Pioneers earned a 4-2 victory to improve to 3-5 on the season. The Pioneers held a 38 to 10 shot advantage in the contest.

Penn State Beaver got on the board 12:01 into the contest when Dom DeMino scored. The Pioneers held a 16 to 5 shot advantage but could not get one in the back of the net.

Nick Peraino (Geneseo) tied the game up in the 49th minute with his second of the season. Brandon Holley's (Livonia) second of the season made it 2-1 ten minutes later.

Lamont Wright tied it up just over two minutes later for PS Beaver but Antonio Fleming (Floral Park) netted the game winner at 63:38. Thirty seconds later Christian Jankulski (Webster Schroeder) added insurance with his first career goal.

Dalton Cady (Jasper Troupsburg) made one save in the final 28:40 to earn his first collegiate victory. Nickolas Weir (Harrisville) made five saves in the first 61:20.

The blue and gold continue their road trip to the Pittsburgh area on Wednesday when they battle Penn State Greater Allegheny at 4 p.m.
