More Records Fall at Oberlin

Four more records were broken as the Alfred State men's swimming & diving team continues to lead the Oberlin Invitational after two days. 

Kellen Fletcher (Wrightstown, NJ) broke the ASC and AMCC record in the 100 fly with his 1st place performance of 50.61. Stuart Yates (Naples) won the 100 breast and set a new school record with a time of 58.03 while Westin Perry (Canisteo Greenwood) broke the meet record in the 100 back with a winning time of 52.13.

Perry, Yates, Jazz Widney (Tulsa, OK), and Luca Aldewereld (Cleveland, OH) broke the school record in winning the 200 medley relay in 1:32.97.

The 800 free relay team of Perry, Fletcher, Widney and Brianna Dixon (Brentwood, NH) finished 3rd in 7:08.27. Dixon was 5th in the 100 back (53.97), Aldewereld was 6th in the 100 fly (52.27), Widney was 7th in the 100 fly (52.57), Jack Friedah (York, PA) was 7th in the 100 back (55.58), and Tanner Fixsen (Stayton, OR) was 8th in the 400 IM (4:36.64).

On the 1m diving board, Alfred State took 2nd, 3rd, 4th, and 6th. Austin Miller (Hornell) was 2nd (378.80), Samuel Ricci (Oaks, PA) was 3rd (309.20), Hailu Harris (New York) was 4th (248.35), and Jonah Prindle (Rush Henrietta) was 6th (175.25).

Alfred State leads the nine-team competition after two days with 835.5 points.

Tomorrow's final day of the Oberlin Invitational starts with prelims at 9 a.m., diving at 1 p.m. and finals at 5 p.m.
