400 Medley, Fletcher and Perry Break Records on Day 3 at Championships

The Alfred State men's swimming & diving team continues to break records and remain in first overall and in the AMCC after three days at the Allegheny Empire Swimming & Diving Championships.

The 400-yard medley relay of Westin Perry (Canisteo Greenwood), Stuart Yates (Naples), Kellen Fletcher (Wrightstown, NJ) and Jazz Widney (Tulsa, OK) broke the AMCC record and the program record after winning with at time of 3:26.56.

Fletcher broke both the AMCC and program record in the 100-yard butterfly after winning with at time of 50.44.

Perry broke the program record in the 100-yard backstroke after winning with a time of 50.88.

Stuart Yates (Naples) won the 100-yard breaststroke in 58.35.

Austin Miller (Hornell) placed second in the 1-meter dive with a score of 378.65.

Luca Aldewereld (Cleveland, OH) finished fourth in the 100-yard butterfly in 51.53 while Jazz Widney (Tulsa, OK) tied for sixth in 51.77 and Patrick Roberts (East Aurora) took ninth in 52.89.

Jack Friedah (York, PA/West York) took eighth in the 100-yard backstroke in 55.39.

Tanner Fixsen (Stayton, OR) was ninth in the 400-yard IM in 4:29.32.

Collin Vimislik (Fairport) took tenth in the 200-yard freestyle in 1:49.43.

The final day begins tomorrow at 10 a.m. with preliminary rounds, diving begins at approximately 11:30 a.m., and the finals start at 5:30 p.m.
