Pfleghardt Named USCAA Player of the Week

Alfred State junior volleyball player Kay Pfleghardt (Tioga) has been named the USCAA player of the week.  Pfleghardt becomes the first Pioneer athlete to earn a weekly honor from the USCAA.

Pfleghardt had a monster day as the Lady Pioneers went 4-0 en route to winning the Alfred State Tournament title.  She recoreded a time high 40 kills and 9 digs to earn the MVP honors of the tournament.  Pfleghardt and the blue & gold did not lose a game in the tournament (10-0).

Pfleghardt joins Lindsey Johnson of Iowa Wesleyan College as this week's volleyball honorees.  Johnson was named the setter of the week.

On top of being honored by the USCAA, Pfleghardt was named the Alfred State athlete of the week.

Alfred State returns to action on Friday the Keuka Tournament.  The take on Houghton at 5 p.m. on Friday and then battle Alfred University (11 a.m.) and MCLA (1 p.m.) on Saturday.
