Bathgate Honored by AMCC

Alfred State sophomore Gavin Bathgate (East Rochester) has been named the AMCC Runner of the Week.

Bathgate won the individual title at the 2021 Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference Championship on Sunday. He crossed the finish line of the 5k course in 18:29.06. This comes after Bathgate finished 10th at the 2019 Championship race.

Bathgate and the Pioneers finished 2nd as a team just behind Penn State Behrend. The competition featured student-athletes from five different AMCC schools.

The AMCC Championship was the lone cross country race of the 2020-21 school year. The team will open up outdoor track & field action on March 9th.
