Alfred State Finishes Second In AMCC Championships

The Alfred State Women's Cross Country team placed 2nd today at the AMCC Conference Championships. Finishing one spot better than last year, the team finished with a total of 61 points.

Alfred State finished behind Penn.- St. Behrend in the team standings, Penn.- St. Behrend also had the top three individual runners of the day. Savanna Carr finished in first place, winning the individual AMCC Cross Country Title.

Sarah Rivet () was the top finisher for Alfred State, finishing in 9 place. She ran a time of 27:37.9. Alfred State had three other runners finish in the top 20, proving important for the Pioneers second place team finish. Laura Ferris () finished in 13 place with a time of 29:41.2. Andi Williamson finished right behind her in 14 place with a time of 29:44.0. Summer Kier finished shortly after them in 16 place, with a time of 30:32.5.

The final two runners for Alfred State finished in the top 30. Elizabeth Erich () ran a 32:19.0, good enough for 21 place. Annaliese Hersom () finished 26 with a 34:44.9 time.

The Pioneer team finished all runners, continuing on what is a successful season.
