Women's Cross-Country Garners Five All-Conference Honorees

Alfred, NY- The women's Cross-Country team had five all-conference honorees, while freshman Molly Kraynik earned Newcomer of the Year honors.

Oli Kraynik was the first Pioneer to finish. The freshman from Honoeye Falls, NY finished her 6k in 24:45.67 for fifth place.

Finishing right behind her was Isabelle Popoff. The senior from Cicero, NY crossed the line in 25:04.79 for sixth place.

Rounding out the all-conference honoree was freshman Olivia Plummer (11th place), junior Hailey Kumpf (12th place), and freshman Alysa Williams (13th place).

Alfred State finished in second place as a team in the conference.

Head Coach Tim Giagios said, "I'm extremely proud of this team. They gelled together from day one and have done everything we've asked of them. Coach (Trevor) Stiles put together a season plan that prepared them for every meet and had them ready for Conferences – and it showed. This team is the cornerstone for the future of our program".
