Track Performs Well at U of Rochester

The Alfred State outdoor track and field team had another solid day at the University of Rochester Spring Invitational. The Pioneers won four individual titles on the day.

Victoire Kothor (Rochester/Greece Odyssey) won two events to lead the way for the Pioneers. She won the shot put (13.26) and the hammer throw (42.34). Brandon Teboe (Falconer) won the pole vault (3.78) and Joe Richardson (Geneva) won the triple jump (12.01).

Lindsey Thiel (Liverpool) ran the 6th fastest time in school history in the 5,000. She finished the race 7th with a time of 19:29.09. Haley Anderson (Lyondonville) was 7th in the shot put (10.05) and the 4x100 relay team of Maddi McDonald (Niagara Falls), Dominique Shirley (Bronx/Harry Truman), Alexis Carrington (Manhattan/NYC I School), and Angel Bresnahan (Mexico) was 4th (52.71). 

Jake Hawley (Susquehanna) turned in two solid performances on the men's side. He was 2nd in the 110 hurdles (16.86) and 4th in the javelin (40.15). Spencer Stokes (Penfield) was 3rd in the high jump (1.65), Steven Campbell (Chenango Valley) was 4th in the hammer throw (44.36), Zach Curran (Williamson) was 4th in the pole vault (3.63), Andrew Adams (Burnt Hills) was 5th in the 100 hurdles (18.63), and Timothy Coburn (Dansville) was 6th in the shot put (11.89).

The blue & gold are back in action next weekend at the USCAA Meet hosted by SUNY Delhi.
