Lady Pioneers Finish 10th at USCAA Championships

The Alfred State women's cross country team finished 10th out of 18 teams that scored at the 2014 USCAA National Championships in Syracuse, NY. The Lady Pioneers scored a 297 on the day.

Lindsey Thiel (Liverpool) was the top Lady Pioneer finisher in the 6k. She crossed the finish line in 22nd in 25:28.2. Brianna Brynes (Jordan Elbridge) was 72nd (28:45.8), Kelly Healy (Maple Hill) was 89th (29:34.9), and Cassandra Ryan (Gloversville) was 98th (29:56.1). Diane Sill (Kendall) rounded out the Lady Pioneers five with a 119th place finish (31:20.5).

Dine (AZ) College won the championship wtih 37 points followed by Cleary (88) and SUNY ESF (94).

178 runners finished the Drumlins Country Club course on a cold and blustery day.

Alfred State finished 13th in 2013.
