Braun Named Alfred State Athlete of the Week

Sophomore volleyball player Lera Braun (Waterloo) has been named the Alfred State athlete of the week after helping the Lady Pioneers to a 2-1 week with solid all-around performances.

Braun passed out 70 assists was credited with 19 digs, 16, kills, and five service aces as Alfred State competed vs. Houghton (L 3-1), Penn State Beaver (W 3-0), and Penn State New Kensington (W 3-0).

On the year, Braun has played has played in every game and has passed out 454 assists and has been credited with 111 digs, 92 kills, and 40 aces.

Alfred State is currently 13-8 on the year and will return to action on Thursday when they host D'Youville at 7 p.m. in their annual Dig Pink game.
