Braun Honored by USCAA

Alfred State sophomore setter Lera Braun (Waterloo) has been named the setter of the week by the USCAA.  Braun helped the Lady Pioneers to a 3-0 week with a 3-1 victory over Finger Lakes CC and a pair of 3-0 wins over Penn College.

In three matches, Braun had 102 assists for an average of 10.2 per set. Furthermore, the sophomore added 16 digs, 10 kills, and 3 blocked shots.

Braun has 585 assists on the season go to along with 135 digs, 105 kills, and 51 aces.

Lauren GaNun (St. Joseph's) was also honored by the USCAA.

The Pioneers travel to the Houghton College Tournament this weekend.  They take on Lycoming, Michigan-Dearborn, SUNY Canton, and Hilbert at the two-day tourney.
