Giagios Named Coach of the Year - Rivet and Watkins Earn All-AMCC
Alfred State women's cross country coach Tim Giagios has been named AMCC Coach of the Year while Sarah Rivet (Shenendehowa) and Katie Watkins (Addison) ran to All-AMCC honors.
Giagios helped lead the team to an AMCC runner-up finish. Giagios has led the Pioneer cross country program the past two years. The women's team has finished 2nd at the AMCC Championships both seasons.
Rivet earned All-AMCC honors for the second straight year. She earned 2nd team honors by finishing the 6k course at ASC in 10th (31:30.90). Watkins earned 3rd team honors with an 11th place finish (31:31.65).
The Pioneers will head to Geneseo on Saturday to compete in the NCAA DIII East Regionals.
