Pioneer Tallied Three Falls In Win Over Jayhawks

Jamestown, NY- The Alfred State men's wrestling team won every match as they took down Jamestown CC 57-0 in the final dual of the semester. The Pioneers hold a 3-1 dual record so far this season

The Pios notched six wins by forfeit to take a commanding 36-0 lead. In the 141 bout, Elijah Moshenek got the fall over Ryan Parton in 3:54. Moshenek notched two takedowns, a four point near-fall, and a three point near-fall before getting the second-round fall.

Then in the 149 match, Benjamin Lloyd notched a fall over Nicholas Ewan in 4:44. Llyod tallied two takedowns and three point near-fall in the first period, before getting a reversal that led to a four point near-fall and the win a few seconds later in the second period.

In the 157 match, Ethan Morrison got the fall over Dakota Planty in 3:48. Morrison opened the match with a takedown, before getting a reversal in the second period that led to a fall win.

In the final match of the dual, Aaron Johnson got the 6-5 decision win over Kyle Keefe. Johnson trailed 3-2 after getting a reversal in the opening period. He chose bottom in the second period and notched an escape to tie the match at 3-3 going into the final period. Then in the final period, he tallied a last-minute takedown to take the lead and get the win.
