Hamilton and Godfrey Named ECAC All-Stars
Alfred State senior middle hitter Janae Hamilton (Ellicottville) and junior outside hitter Bryanna Godfrey (Tioga) have been both named 2nd team North All-Stars.
Hamilton played in 106 set this season and led the Pioneers with a .370 hitting percentage and 85 blocks. She finished the year with 256 kills and had 12 matches with ten or more kills. She had a season high 17 kills vs. Keystone and a season high nine blocks vs. Pitt-Bradford.
Earlier in the offseason, Hamilton was named an honorable mention USCAA All-American.
Godfrey led the Lady Pioneers with 355 kills on the season in her 111 sets played. She also finished with 296 digs, and 68 service aces. She recorded ten or more kills in 21 matches and had ten or more digs in 15. Three times this season she had 15 kills (Wilkes, Lycoming, and Illinois Tech) and she recorded a season best 17 digs vs. Morrisville.
Godfrey was a 1st team All-American by the USCAA earlier in the offseason.
The Lady Spikers finished the season 25-9 and made their third straight trip to the USCAA National Championships. This is the first time that more than one volleyball player has been honored by the ECAC in the same season.
