Alfred State Hosts Annual Special Olympics Event

The Alfred State Department of Athletics and Alfred State College hosted their annual Special Olympic Track and Field event.

This year, the event brought in 288 athletes from 14 schools in the surrounding area. The athletes were supported by their friends, families and teachers. All of the Alfred State Athletic teams and coaches took part in the event as well. The Special Olympics day brought together not only the athletic department, but all of Alfred State's campus, with faculty, staff and students all lending a hand throughout the day.

The Special Olympics ran from 9:30 a.m. to 1 p.m.
