Scott Linn and the 2018 Alfred State College football team will compete in a ten game schedule that features two new opponents and six conference contests.
The Pioneers open up the season with their four non-conference games. They host UMass Dartmouth for the first time in school history in the season opener on September 1st. The Pioneers travel to Hartwick the next week (9/8) for an early evening contest with the Hawks. The next week (9/15) the Alfred State and the University of Rochester meet for the sixth straight season as the Yellowjackets travel to Pioneer Stadium. The non-conference schedule ends on September 22nd when Alfred State travels to Dudley, MA to tangle with Nichols College.
A trip back to Massachusetts is in store the next week (9/29) when the blue & gold open up ECFC play at Dean College. Homecoming 2018 will be celebrated on October 6th when Maritime visits Pioneer Stadium for a Noon kickoff. The team remains in the friendly confines the next weekend (10/13) when defending ECFC champion Husson visits. After a week off, Alfred State travels to Washington DC to take on Gallaudet (10/27) before hosting Anna Maria in their final home game of the season on November 3rd. The 2018 season wraps up with a road trip to Castleton on November 10th.
2018 will be the second year that Alfred State has competed in the Eastern Collegiate Football Conference.
