Alfred State Notched 13 Top-15 Finishes In Season Opener

Geneseo, NY- The Alfred State Men's Track and Field team tallied 13 top-15 finishes in the season opener.

Nicholas Florczak notched a seventh-place finish in the 100-meter dash with a time of 11.58. Then in the 800-meter run, Eddie Scroxton ran a 1:59.00 for eighth place.

Then in the field events, Aden Alexander and Patrick Puffer finished in the top 15 in the long jump. Alexander had a best jump of 6.33 meters for fifth place, while Puffer had a best jump of 5.92 meters for 12th place. In the shot put and discus throw, three Pios finished in the top-15. Tyler Lantrip finished 12th with a best throw of 12.43 meters, followed by Jairo Agosto in 13th with a best throw of 12.27 meters. Then in 15th place was Kyle Kapichok with a throw of 11.67 meters. In the discus throws, Brandon Russell had a best throw of 41.01 meters for fourth place. Kapichok came in 11th place with a throw of 35.34 meters, followed by Greg Raymond in 15th place with a throw of 34.62 meters.

Then in the hammer throws, Lantrip and Raymond finished in seventh and eighth respectively. Lantrip had a best throw of 42.01 meters, and Raymond had a best throw of 40.72 meters. In the Javelin throw, Kapichok had a best throw of 39.86 meters for 11th place.
