Bears Down Pioneers

SUNY Potsdam had 14 different goal scorers and held Alfred State to just 10 shots in a 21-1 victory on Saturday.  The Bears improve to 2-0 on the year after the victory in a contest played at Clarkson.

The Bears scored the first two goals of the game before Keegan Phalen (East Aurora) cut the lead in half with his 3rd goal of the season just 1:20 into the game.  The goal was the lone goal of the game for the Pioneers.

Potsdam led 7-1 after the 1st, 16-1 at half, and 19-1 after the 3rd.  Rob Kunz led the Bears with 3 goals and 4 assists whiel Ed Doherty recorded a hat trick.  Potsdam held a 53 to 10 shot advantage.

The blue & gold continue their trip North on Sunday vs. SUNY Canton.  The game has been moved to Clarkson and will start an hour earlier than scheduled at Noon.
