Jean Thouin recorded nine points on five goals and four assists as La Roche College defeated Alfred State 19-4 on Friday afternoon.
Steve Murphy netted a hat trick to compliment Thouin's big day hile Bryce Wells scored two goals and had three assists for La Roche. The Redhawks jumped out to a 6-1 lead after the 1st quarter and led 12-3 at half. They held a 57-25 shot advantage.
John Garbowski (Mohegan Lake) led the Pioneers with a goal and an assist while Andrew Deligatti (Bedford Hills/Fox Lane), David Ford (Elmont/Sewanhaka), and Keegan Phalen (East Aurora) all scored once for Alfred State.
The blue & gold finished the contest 0 for 11 with the extra man while LaRoche was 3 for 6.
The Pioneers conclude their three-game spring break trip at Capital (OH) University on Saturday. Opening faceoff is at 1 p.m.
