Keuka Rallies for OT Victory

Zach Briggs headed in a corner kick from Leandor Curran four minutes into the 1st overtime period to lift Keuka to a 3-2 victory over Alfred State. The Wolfpack had to rally from a 2-1 deficit to improve to 5-1 on the year.

Austin Gerber got Keuka on the board in the 35th minute after getting a pass from Curran to account for the lone goal in the 1st half.

Nick Peraino (Geneseo) tied the game up just 1:41 into the 2nd half when he connected on a long driving shot that got over the keepers head. Antonio Fleming (Floral Park) was credited with the assist.

Mitchell Porter (Alfred Almond) gave the Pioneers the lead at the 72:23 mark when his laser of a direct kick found the back of the net off the Wolfpack's diving GK's hand.

Gerber netted the game tying goal with just 4:33 remaining when he scored after getting a crossing pass from Ben Schreiber.

Keuka held a 16 to 12 shot advantage (11 to 7 shots on goal). Nickolas Weir (Harrisville) made eight saves while Preston Vick made five for Keuka.

The Pioneers begin a three game road trip on Saturday with a 3 p.m. contest at D'Youville.
