Bryan Rollins snuck a shot in the near corner with 1:17 remaining in the 1st half as St. John Fisher defeated Alfred State 1-0 on Tuesday evening. The Cardinals improve to 3-8-1 on the year while the Pioneers are now 5-7-1.
Rollins took a long pass down the sideline and was able to sneak a shot in past the diving Pioneer goalie.
Neither team was able to get anything past the keepers in the 2nd half. Josh Klein made three saves to earn the shutout while Nickolas Weir (Harrisville) made three saves for the Pioneers.
Alfred State concludes their five game home stand on Sunday when they entertain Bryant & Stratton at 2 p.m.
