Pioneers Drops Conference Opener Against Mt. Aloysius

Cresson, PA- Two goals were not enough as the Pioneers fell against Mt. Aloysius 4-2. ASC drops to 1-5-1 on the season and 0-1 against conference foes.
Allison Lundmark and Jena Schelble scored both Pio goals. Kate Sprool and Sierra Schofield split time in goal, and Schofield notched two saves.
Schelble netted the first goal of the game in the 15th minute, to go up 1-0. MAC answered with three straight goals to take the lead going into halftime.
Mt. Aloysius opened the second half with a goal, before Lundmark answered with a goal of her own to cut the gap to 4-2 in the 85th minute. The Pioneers were able to get two open looks before fulltime, but both hit the crossbar. MAC held on to win.
The Pioneers will be at home for their next matchup against Pitt. Bradford on Tuesday Sept. 26 at 6 pm.
