Alfred, NY – The Pioneers could not overcome a slow start as they fall to Penn State Altoona 3-1. ASC drops to 2-6-1 on the season.
Allison Lundmark scored the Pioneers lone goal. Kate Sprool tallied six save in goal for the Pios.
The Lions started the game very aggressively as they scored two goals in the first 15 minutes. The Pioneers were able to settle down and find the goal to cut the deficit to 2-1 before halftime. Lundmark found the back of the net in the 42nd minute.
The Lions increased their lead to 3-1 with a goal in the 49th minute. From there the Lions were able to hold the Pioneers at bay to go on and win 3-1.
