Pioneers Took Home Third At The Conference Championship

Webster, NY- The Alfred State women's swimming and diving team came in third overall but tallied a second-place finish in the AMCC.

In the 1650 free, Mallory O'Keefe swam an 18:31.36 for fourth place. O'Keefe followed with win in the 200 fly after touching the wall in 2:11.48. Emma Merrick and Adrianna Gill earned top 10 finishes in that event as well.

Then in the 200 back, Alyssa James notched a second-place finish with a time of 2:10.63.

Madison Snayczuk tallied another win on the weekend, with a first-place finish in the 100 free after touching the wall in 53.70. Gabriela Leite came in fourth with a time of 55.34.

Mikaela Snayczuk and Orla Reilly were in the A-Final of the 200 breast. Mi. Snayczuk came in fourth with a time of 2:30.52, while Reilly came in sixth.

Then the team of Ma. Snayczuk, James, Leite, and O'Keefe finished the weekend off with a win in the 400 free relay.

Madison Snayczuk took home Allegheny Empire women's swimmer of the meet as well as AMCC swimmer of the Meet.
