Villarreal and Compton Tallies Wins Against Geneseo

Buffalo, NY- Ricardo Villarreal notched two wins as the Pioneers fell to Geneseo. Conor Compton also broke his own record on his way to qualifying for the NCAA Regionals.

Villarreal tallied his first win in the 200 fly after touching the wall in 1:59.20. He followed that with 54.30 finish to get the win in the 100 fly. Then in the 500 free, Villarreal touched the wall in 5:07.86 for second place.

Compton scored a 332.95 on the one-meter board to win the event. He followed with a 309.45 on the three-meter board for second place. With both scores Compton set himself up to compete at NCAA Regionals after only two meets.

Gregg Wenhold also had a good day, as he placed second in the 50 free with a time of 22.57. Then in the 100 free, he placed third with a time of 51.96.

Stuart Yates tallied a second-place finish in the 100 breast, while Dillon Madigan and Alex Villegas finished second and third in the 1000 free, respectively.

Looking at relays, the team of Jack Friedah, Yates, Villarreal, and Parker Brod finish third in the 200 medley, and the team of Wenhold, Collin Vimislik, Brod, and Yates placed second in the 400 free relay.
