The Pioneers Sits In Third Heading Into Day Three

Webster, NY- The Alfred State men's swimming and diving team is in third place at the end of day two.

Ricky Villarreal opened Thursday's finals with a sixth-place finish in the 500 free with a time of 4:49.07.

Jack Friedah earned a place in the 200 IM A-Final. He was able to touch the wall in 1:56.70 to take home fourth overall in the event.

The Pioneers had two in the 50 free A-Final, Parker Brod swam a 21.70 for a fifth-place finish, and Stuart Yates swam a 21.90 for ninth place.

Then in the 200 free relay, the team of Brod, John Cadden, Gregg Wenhold, and Yates tallied a third-place finish with a time of 1:26.23.

The Pioneers return to the pool tomorrow at 10 am for day three of the championship.
